Day 15:
After I woke up this morning, I took a look at my work first. I still needed to do a few reports and other stuff this week, before I will be in complete vacation mode. When I finished that, I went out for a walk. Explore the area and get myself a bit of orientation where I get the essential things like food, water, and some cash. As soon as I leave the hotel zone, it will be more difficult to pay by credit card, and I also have no further dollars left.

The first thing I noticed here in Cancun is that every few meters you walk someone asks you if you are looking for a tour, a taxi, or a wellness massage. After a few minutes I was already exhausted by saying “No, thanks,” “Gracias, but I do not need a taxi.”
Anyway, I stopped at one of the little offices and booked a tour to Chichen Itza, the most famous Maya temple area in the region. It is supposed to be a whole day trip and will take place on Sunday.
Strolling down the street, I found a Starbucks, where I got a Mexico mug for my best friend. A few further meters, I found a ferry stop to Isla Mujeres. Perfect! As it is not too far, I could quickly do it tomorrow. I also found a rental car station, where I asked for the day prices. Just in case I want to go to another place, like Tulum, Playa del Carmen, or Merida.
Then, I went back to my hotel* and put myself in the pool for the rest of the day. I started to read my and almost finished it in these few hours. I think I am ready to relax the next few days.
