Day 13:
Today is the last day of my visit to New Orleans. I am already a bit sad and could easily stay a few more days. I like the city, and I enjoyed the way I stayed here this time. It felt like being at home. Working in the morning and enjoying the city, meeting friends, make new ones in the afternoon.
My Irish friend and I met up the last time at the boat dock for a river cruise on the Natchez. It was a weird feeling. The first journey in 2014 I started with this boat tour, and now I am ending it with this one. But I enjoyed every single second of it. The views are lovely, and you also get some information about the areas and the boat itself. Did you know that the Natchez operates only with water steam? Different from the Creole Queen, which also does these river cruises, but runs with electricity.

After our boat tour, we looked for a place to have an early dinner before we went to our last show of this WrestleMania weekend. We ended up at Mother´s. It seems that we were fortunate. Whenever I passed it in the previous days, there was a queue as long as the whole block. This time not, we ordered a meal, and when we finished, the line was already that long. Apparently, we were here at the right time. In my view, the popularity is a bit overrated as the Gumbo which I had was not as good as at the Gumbo Shop a few days ago. At least, I can say, I was here.
Then it was time for Smackdown Live and also 205Live. From my point of view, the show was a lot better than Raw last night. It was the perfect ending to an exciting Wrestling weekend.
When SmackDown was over, we went to Bourbon Street again for one last beer before we had to say goodbye for this year. It was only the two us left. My new Irish friend, who I met last week for the first time and with whom I already had a bunch of memories, like the swamp tour, made during the past days. We did not have a brilliant plan for tonight, just being there, listen to the music and soak in the atmosphere and try to keep it as long as possible.
We finished our beer and said goodbye. Maybe we will meet again next in New York. I believe we will stay in touch through Facebook, and if I come back to Dublin, I know who I can contact or if he wants to visit Dusseldorf, I think we will have at least one glass of beer again.
Pin for later!
One last time, I strolled through the French Quarter on my way back to my little apartment. Good that I already packed my stuff this morning as the night will be very short. My airport shuttle will pick me up at 4 a.m. I will go to bed now and hope to get a few hours of sleep.
