Five reasons why the USA should be your next destination!
Over the years, I have made it my mission to visit some of the most fabulous and most exciting destinations on earth – and I think I have done a pretty good job so far! Throughout my travels, I have been drawn to the United States, time and time again, and cannot seem to get enough of the stars and stripes of this country. North America will always hold a place in my heart, and I hope I can convince you to choose the USA as your next travel destination. Not convinced just yet? 1. The food is truly something special
When you think of American cuisine, you probably think of hot dogs, burgers, and heaps of fries on giant plates topped off with a massive stack of pancakes. Although this kind of food is easily accessible across the country, you should not fill your stomachs with McDonald’s or In-N-Out throughout your whole trip. Instead, you should check out more traditional and unique burger joints that will give you a real taste of what America has to offer. According to 1Cover, the restaurant chain Umami Burger serves the most delicious burgers in the US. Better yet, check out local restaurants that serve local produce! It will undoubtedly give you the flavor.
2. The country is a complete mish-mash
It is no secret that the US is vast, but many people forget that there is so much more to America than New York City or the desert surrounding Las Vegas. This country is a complete mishmash of shapes, colors, and architecture. One minute you could be checking out the city of Chicago, the next minute you could be checking out the colonial buildings of New England, and the next minute you could be checking out the coastline of Maine. Every city, state, town, or village is entirely different, which means your eyes will never get tired of the views.
3. There are so many things to do
The United States of America is one hefty place and is full of attractions and things to see and do. Of course, you can never go wrong with a trip to Walt Disney World, but there is also a whole heap of tourist attractions that will keep you entertained for months on end if you have the time. You could check out the Statue of Liberty*, the Grand Canyon National Park, Yellowstone National Park, the Golden Gate Bridge, Times Square, Alcatraz Island, and more. You will never be bored.
4. You can drive everywhere
One of the best aspects of a USA vacation is that you don’t have to fly anywhere. Although you might have to fly to the country, once you are there, you can simply hire a car or rent an RV and drive the open road. Perfect with so many free campgrounds in the US… There is no need to book motels in advance, there is no need to plan a route, and there is no need to stress about your itinerary because you can make it up as you go along. With so many American road trip routes in this country, your hardest decision will be choosing which one you are going to.

5. You will experience a different way of life
If you are struggling with a hectic work schedule in your life, a trip to the USA* could be one of the best ways to slow down and experience a new way of life. While the workers in the cities are often roaming through subway stations with speed in their steps, there are many other towns and cities across the US where the residents take a step back and embrace life. You’ll be able to experience a new culture, you’ll have no responsibilities, and you will be able to chill with the locals.
Aren´t these enough reasons why the USA should be your next vacation destination? I would love to hear from you if you have recently returned from an American trip or if you plan one! What did you enjoy or looking forward to the most? Let me know in the comments!
I’ve been to the US already and would love to come back, you’re right, there are so many things to do and see, I would love to be able to visit all the major National Parks.
Thanks for this article, Pia. Yes, people should visit the USA in spite of the ignorance of some of our politicians. We are all not like what you see. We are very diverse and we have small towns medium sized towns large towns and MEGA SIZED TOWNS! I can’t say it enough. Please visit the United States you won’t be disappointed .
To be completely honest, I was already convinced. So diverse and with a massive choice of things to do. Can’t wait!
I agree! I took a road trip to the national parks on the west coast, as well as to the Niagra Falls and the US road trips are the best!
You’re not kidding about the mish-mash! The US is so diverse, and many states vary from coastal to mountainous in the space of just an hour or two. Southern architecture varies so much from the style of home you’d see out west. And the food is incredible (although the portion sizes are way too large) almost everywhere you go!
